5 Best Facial Beauty Tools

Looking for Facial Beauty Tools?

After trying out several devices, here are my 5 Best Facial Beauty Tools that actually work! I hope they will work for you too:)

1. Nuface Device

I have used a whole gamut of infrared and light therapy hand held devices (mostly cheap little tools I’ve bought online).

After these broke quite quickly, I decided to invest in a proper tool. After all, you only have one face for life right?

And besides, all the money I’ve spent on buying cheap tools, I could have bought myself a Nuface long ago!

So what exactly is the Nuface device and what does it claim to do? Nuface is a micro-current facial toning device which helps to improve contour, wrinkles and fine lines. It also helps to regenerate the skin.

I use my Nuface fairly regularly and I’m pleased to say, it really does what it claims to do!

I did a lot of research before I finally decided to fork out the big bucks for my Nuface Trinity device, which I bought in Bloomingdales in Dubai.

There are a lot of fake Nuface devices out there, so make sure you buy your tool at an authorized dealer if you decide to get one.

Here is a handy website in case you are interested to learn about the differences between the real and fake Nuface https://www.currentbody.com/blogs/editorial/how-to-spot-fake-nuface-trinity-nufake.

2. Rose Quartz or Jade Face Roller

I started using this little tool as well as the Facial Gua Sha while I was living in Taiwan, and it has become a staple in my beauty routine since! I especially like to keep mine rolled up in a tissue in the fridge over night—in the morning it is such a treat to use the cold Rose Quartz Face Roller on my face and under my eyes especially when I’m tired!

The benefits of using a facial roller are numerous. If you roll it (correctly) over your face, it helps to drain the lymphatic system and eliminate toxins from the skin. It also helps to increase blood circulation, decrease puffiness and minimize wrinkles. WOW! This little tool offers a great bang for your buck!

When you google face roller you’ll probably find two kinds. The Rose Quartz and the Jade Roller. Not sure which one to pick?

  • Rose Quartz is more durable than Jade.
  • Rose Quartz stays cooler longer than Jade, so it is better for tightening pores. Jade warms quicker to the touch which is good if you want to use it over moisturizers/serums so they can penetrate better into the skin.
  • Rose Quartz is a love stone. Jade is a stone for luck

3. Dermaplaning Blades

‘Say what?’

Dermaplaning is really a super easy technique to get rid of unwanted facial hair/peach fuzz and gives your skin a smooth canvas for applying makeup.

Easy to use dermaplane blades are stocked in most drugstores and come in packs of three or more.

Personally I only do this procedure maybe once or twice a month. I use my blade no more than twice –some people recommend you to only use a blade once.

If you do use your blade more than once, make sure to clean it with alcohol after and before using it again!

HOW TO DERMAPLANE YOUR FACE

Firstly I would recommend you do this at night after you have cleaned and dried your face. Simply hold the blade at a 45 degree angle to your face and drag the blade upwards . Don’t go over the same area twice as it may cause irritation.

Some people recommend swiping alcohol over your face before dermaplaning. I personally only clean my blade with alcohol and I make sure my skin is dry and clean before I do the procedure. Alcohol irritates my sensitive skin.

Afterwards I wash my face with cold water to get rid of all the shaved off peach fuzz, and it also closes my pores, then I apply my moisturizer.

Dermaplaning is a great way to exfoliate the skin and get rid of dead skin cells as well. It preps your face so your favorite serums and night creams can penetrate into your skin even better!

Word of caution: Make sure to avoid any retinols or harsh acids directly after you have dermaplaned your face as it can cause irritation!

Also, avoid putting on heavy makeup or doing sweaty exercises directly after you have dermaplaned your face as this can cause breakouts!!!

My tip is to do it at night before you go to bed and you will be safe to wear makeup the next day.

4. Eyelash Curler

A YouTuber convinced me that I should get myself an eyelash curler, which I always thought was just a silly fad. What a game changer this little tool is!

Most makeup free days I just curl my eyelashes. The eyelash curler really gives the impression of wider, fresher more awake eyes, so I don’t feel I need mascara.

5. Nose Hair Trimmer

When I got braces (which you can read about here), I didn’t want the dentist to be looking down on my face and get freaked out by my nose hair, so I found this perfect solution:)

This little Philips device (I have the exact same one) is a real game changer. It is quick, easy and totally painless to use. Just put the nozzle in your nose, rotate a few times and voila! No nose hair popping out! You can also easily wash the tip under running water afterwards, or clean it with an alcohol swab.

Hope you found this post helpful in case you are looking to ‘up’ your beauty regime. If you’ve enjoyed this post perhaps you might also like Trustworthy Makeup Favorites.
